Artists for Conservation member artists’ work will be exhibited at the Lanwan Art Museum at Lanwan Eco Art Park in Qingdao City, China. The exhibit opens with a reception on August 4th, and runs through September 30, 2017. A delegation of 11 AFC artists will be in attendance to represent the exhibit, conduct demonstrations, and act as ambassadors for the AFC mission, and its member artists whose work is included in the exhibit. I am happy to say that my painting, What Was That, is among the artwork on display beginning August 1st.

Life.Is.Hard – Bobcat

Bobcat

My goal with this piece was to show another side of the animal kingdom. It isn’t always pretty out there in the wild; animals struggle every day to stay warm, find food, and shelter from the elements. This little guy is cold and miserable, wet, and most likely hungry. And that is the way of the animal kingdom. It’s an uphill battle to stay alive, and most times, Life.Is.Hard. The painting is 12 x 16, acrylic on canvas and is available for purchase.

“Ole Tom” – Cougar

Ole TomWhile in Montana, I visited Animals of Montana for a photo shoot. This is “Ole Tom”, the resident cougar. He might be old, but he still had a lot of spunk! The painting is 9 x 12 inches, acrylic on canvas and is available for purchase.
